Uses of l-Theanine 

  • Used to aid in the management of mild anxieties and fears including social anxiety without aggression towards people, by dogs.
  • Current clinical evidence primarily stems from open-label studies.
  • Not recommended for use in cases of severe phobia, separation anxiety, or aggressive behaviour.

Dose of l-Theanine in Dogs and Cats

Dogs, Cats:

  • 5 mg/kg p.o. q12h for maintenance or q6h during event exposure.
