Apraclonidine is a Topical alpha-2-selective agonist<\/strong> that decreases aqueous humour production by inhibition of adenylate cyclase activity in the ciliary body.<\/p>\n
Formulations:<\/strong> Ophthalmic:<\/strong> <\/em>0.5% solution (5 ml bottle); preservative-free 1% solution (single-dose vials).<\/p>\n

Main Apomorphine Uses in Dogs:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reducing intraocular pressure in glaucoma<\/strong>; however, effect in dogs is inconsistent and it is\u00a0unlikely to be effective as the sole agent in most forms of canine glaucoma.<\/li>\n
It may be most useful in alleviating pressure<\/strong> rises after intraocular surgery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
