Sarolaner acts at ligand-gated chloride channels, in particular those gated by the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), thereby blocking pre- and post-synaptic transfer of chloride ions across cell membranes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Uses of Sarolaner<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The product is used for the treatment of fleas, ticks, and ear mite infestations (Otodectes cynotis) in dogs and cats, as well as demodicosis (Demodex canis) and Sarcoptes scabiei in dogs.<\/li>\n
It is also effective against biting lice (Felicola subrostratus), adult roundworms (Toxocara cati), and adult intestinal hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) when applied topically for cats.<\/li>\n
The product requires parasites to start feeding on the host for exposure to sarolaner. Therefore, it cannot exclude the potential transmission of infectious parasite-borne diseases during this process.<\/li>\n
Additionally, the product is used for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis in dogs and cats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
