An anti-ascaridial<\/strong> anthelmintic that blocks acetylcholine, thus affecting neurotransmission and paralysing the adult worm; it has no larvicidal activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Uses of Piperazine<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Active against Toxocara cati, T. canis, Toxascaris leonine and Uncinaria stenocephala.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Dose of Piperazine in Dogs and Cats<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Dogs, Cats:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Puppies and kittens<\/strong><\/span>: 200 mg\/kg as a single dose. Then dose every 2 weeks until 3 months of age and then at 3-month intervals.<\/li>\n
Adult dogs and cats<\/strong><\/span>: 200 mg\/kg as a single dose. Repeat treatment at 3-month intervals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
